How To Overcome Your Lethargy
If you only feel lethargic every now and then, don’t panic about it. It is quite normal for this to happen. It’s when feeling lethargic turns from a “once every now and then” event to an “every waking hour” one, then it’s time to get rid of your lethargy.
There are many different reasons you could be feeling lethargic.
It’s possible that you’ve had a stressful week or month at work. If that’s true for you, give yourself a break. Take the weekend off. Or at least an evening. There’s a good chance that this break from your routine will be enough to sort out your problem.
But if the symptoms of lethargy persist, it’s time to work out why.
1. Take a look at your diet
Food is important to us in many ways, not just to stave off hunger. It affects us in many other ways. You’ve probably noticed the feeling of drowsiness in the afternoon after a heavier than normal lunch. Take note of your diet and do your best to make healthier choices, even if you don’t manage to do that for each and every meal.
2. Get a good night’s sleep
It’s important to get a good night’s rest as this is one of the times when your body repairs itself. If you notice that you’re not sleeping well, begin by making sure your bed time is the same each evening so that your body knows that it’s time to sleep. Do your best to avoid sleeping pills but don’t let a hatred of such things stop you using them temporarily until you get back in a good sleep routine.
3. Reduce your alcohol and coffee intake
I know this sounds a bit odd, especially since the caffeine in coffee is a good way to boost your energy levels short term. But both alcohol and caffeine aren’t good for you. Too much of either (or both) can affect your sleeping pattern for the worse. Don’t go cold turkey on either of these though, make it a gradual process otherwise you may make things worse until they have completely left your system.
4. Hypnotize yourself
You can find a specialist hypnosis track to overcome your lethargy here. All you need to do is play it to yourself and the hypnosis track will do the rest of the work for you.
