Ringing in the ears or tinnitus is very common and is prevalent these days and do you know the reason why it’s common? It’s because a lot of individuals are constantly being exposed to a lot of loud noises and are exposed to lots of different toxins, primarily, from the medications that they are consuming especially medications particularly for hypertension, arthritis or diabetes. That is right, excessive doses of these medicines like antibiotics can cause tinnitus. You could almost hear a faint ringing sound coming from your ear or both. Although this is not a perilous problem of the health but just a very annoying malady, ringing in the ears can lead to permanent hearing loss if not treated immediately. A person can either go to an ENT doctor or he can just find a downloadable book guide like Tinnitus Miracle from the internet that will teach him how to get rid of ringing in the ears for good without any adverse side effects and without compromising his health and the healthy of his wallet as well.

So, what is this e-book guide called Tinnitus Miracle and how can this book help you get rid of tinnitus or ringing in the ears? Is Tinnitus Miracle a scam? According to several Tinnitus Miracle customer reviews. It is not a scam and this book guide will simply teach and show you the natural and safest way to get rid of tinnitus without using any medications of any sort. Many have already tried this book and were satisfied with the results that were positive.

Does Tinnitus Miracle Work?

However, there are a few individuals who are still doubtful about this whole thing and would ask if this kind of e-book works. If you get to read the different customer reviews regarding Tinnitus Miracle, you can see just how satisfied other people were. So satisfied that they make their own reviews about this book guide. To answer the question, yes and no. Honestly, it will work if you do the system properly according to what the book is teaching you. If you won’t do your own thing, it will not work. And probably, those who are asking these questions are those who haven’t tried the product.

From The Tinnitus Site

For those who have visited Madison Square Garden in the New York City to hear Beethoven’s Symphony No.5 in C minor on a New Year’s Eve, the music must have remained with them for a few brief minutes even after it had stopped playing in the vast arena. Well, this is quite normal. Beethoven’s composition lingers long in the ears after the music has actually stopped. But if that continues till the next morning and persists thereafter that calls for a medical check up which will invariably diagnose it as a case of Tinnitus. There is nothing outstanding or exceptional about it, as millions of Americans suffer from Tinnitus and they keep suffering since no cure for tinnitus has yet been found.

Even though the word has been derived from the Latin expression tinnitus, which means ‘ringing’, the sound heard by the affected person vary a lot. It may range from hissing, whooshing, ticking, clicking to humming, droning, whining and buzzing. In short, it is enough to drive a person crazy, looking for relief from pillar to post.

What is Tinnitus and what are its various types?

Clinically speaking, tinnitus represents any ringing or buzzing in the ear not resulting from an external stimulus. However, there are several forms of tinnitus, each one of them capable of thoroughly disrupting the life of the patient. There is also subjective tinnitus where the ringing or the wheezing is heard by the patient alone and objective tinnitus in which the doctor can also hear the noise by using acoustic instruments. Some of these are unilateral (can be heard in one ear) or bilateral where it is heard in both the ears. Persons suffering from Pulsatile Tinnitus can hear their own heartbeats while Somatic Tinnitus resonances lie outside the ear, probably beyond the cochlear nerves and is believed to arise from central crosstalk within the grey matters. Chronic Sinusitis Tinnitus can be a nasty customer, being caused by the thickened mucus trapped within the middle ear space from which it is difficult to drain the mucus out.

Here are some of the underlying causes of tinnitus…

Atherosclerotic Carotid Artery Disease in which the arteries become narrowed due to heavy cholesterol buildup that result in uneven blood flow to the head and neck area. This gives rise to the agonizing heartbeat sounds that can be heard in the ears of the tinnitus patient. Most often associated with elderly patients having history of diabetes, hypertension, angina pectoris as well as persistent high blood pressure.

Benign Intracranial hypertension may also cause Tinnitus (Pulsatile?). This is exemplified by a heightened pressure in the cerebrospinal fluid that covers the brain. The usual victims are females that are young and obese.

Damaged nerve, particularly the nerve that runs between the brain and the ear.

Glomus tumor that consists of bunches of tissues and entangled blood vessels in the ear or the immediate surrounding area can become a cause of tinnitus. Young people often opt for surgical help while surgery is not recommended for the elderly as these tumors are extremely slow in growth.

Intracranial vascular lesion often causes tinnitus of aneurism and arteri-venous malformation or deformity that is usually typified by abnormal or irregular connection between the artery and the vein. This often results in arterial blood entering straight into the vein without going through the capillaries. The situation, as may be appreciated is rather grave, not only resulting in Tinnitus but also turning towards hemorrhage in the brain causing fatal consequences.

Middle ear effusion generally causes Pulsatile Tinnitus in middle aged patients. Accumulation of excess fluid in the middle ear due to inflammation in the Eustachian tubes causing blockage of the escape route and infection in the middle ear and further collection f fluid there gives rise unusual noise in the ear resembling pulse beats.

Meniere’s Disease is one of the commonest causes of tinnitus. It is related to a host of inner ear disorders, believed to be triggered by nonconforming inner ear fluid pressure.

In many cases, when so specific cause for tinnitus can be found after hearing tests are carried out, the blame can be put on depression and stress.

Acoustic Neuroma that consists of a benign tumor is often found responsible for causing this disorder. It usually occurs on the cranial nerve that runs from the brain to the inner ear and interferes with controlling of balance, giving rise to vertigo and related complications. Also known as Vestibular Schwannoma, it affects only one ear in most cases.

Incessant exposure to earsplitting noise is considered as the commonest cause for tinnitus.

Now that tinnitus have become a fully open book for anyone to take lesson from, it is time to see how best to cure it. Unfortunately that database is lying absolutely point blank as no known conventional method of addressing the underlying causes of the disease condition has yet been found out. What actually happens is that, conventional treatments just treat the symptoms, without really finding out the root causes and thus, the symptoms often come back, as soon as the effect of the treatment wanes. The only way tinnitus can be tamed permanently is through a holistic regime that may involve total change of lifestyle and many others. Ask any sufferer, he/she will instantly agree to do so in exchange for a lifetime relief.

This article is based on the book, “Tinnitus Miracle” by Thomas Coleman. Thomas is an author, researcher, nutritionist and health consultant who dedicated his life to creating the ultimate Tinnitus solution guaranteed to permanently reverse the root of ear ringing and naturally and dramatically improve the overall quality of your life, without the use prescription medication and without any surgical procedures.

Tinnitus can be so disconcerting and, in some people, totally cripples their normal function. Fortunately, those symptoms can be alleviated with different medical treatments for tinnitus, but conventional medical treatment for tinnitus can be expensive and often doesn’t work well for a large number of tinnitus patients.

In addition, there are usually side effects accompanying the treatments. Nevertheless, treatments for tinnitus are available to provide significant relief or even cure their ringing ears.

Here are some of the non-medical treatments for tinnitus that can be used at home everyday.

Learning how to cope

If your tinnitus symptoms are not severe and not impairing your ability to work, learning some coping mechanisms may just do all the good. You can try to go to sleep with the TV or radio on. Through these coping mechanisms, you’re doing something to drown out the sound that you hear. However, you are not making the symptoms less intense or disappear.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy

Tinnitus retraining therapy is a form of sound therapy. This treatment doesn’t actually reduce the intensity of tinnitus symptoms or get rid of them. It kind of make you ‘numb’ to the ringing in the ears, so that you won’t feel bothered by the sound. Overtime, you’ll learn to disassociate yourself with the sound you’re hearing; you’ll be able to take the symptoms more easily and not letting them affect your daily life.

Natural tinnitus treatments

Natural tinnitus remedies are all about a healthy diet and lifestyle. Beneficial vitamins and minerals are such as the B vitamins, magnesium and zinc. Quit smoking and exercise regularly will help improve blood circulation and therefore is beneficial for tinnitus. Alternative treatment options, including hypnosis and acupuncture, are also increasingly used to cure tinnitus. You may also want to practice stress management techniques.

Herbal treatments for tinnitus

There are countless herbal remedies used to treat tinnitus. Ginkgo biloba is the most popular and well-documented. Black cohosh is another herb that has been utilized for the treatment of tinnitus.

How severe your tinnitus is can be determined by a wide range of dietary and lifestyle factors. To figure out which ones are the biggest causative factor to your ringing ears, you’ll have to test yourself against different possible causes. After you have identified the main causative factors to your tinnitus, you’ll be able to address the root causes with the most suitable treatment available, and see the improvements in your symptoms.

(NC)—Many of us take our abilities to hear and speak for granted, but as Hosea Balou said, “every word spoken within the hearing of little children tends towards the formation of character”. Communication skills are vital to our fundamental development and the function of our everyday lives, yet millions of Canadians and their families live with the challenges of speech, language and hearing disorders. The Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA), represents more than 5,400 communication professionals and dedicates the month of May to raising public awareness of the professions and many issues surrounding communication disorders. Speech-language pathologists, audiologists and supportive personnel are trained professionals who work with people of all ages dealing with issues related to speech, language, hearing, balance, swallowing and other related disorders. Whether working with an autistic child, or a person recovering from a stroke, their goal is to help clients achieve an enhanced quality of life.

May month promotes and celebrates both the professions and the contributions made by speech-language pathologists, audiologists and supportive personnel to the health of our country.

If you’ve been suffering from tinnitus for a while, you have probably already discovered that there are lots of things that can cause your ringing ears. One of the more surprising potential causes of your tinnitus is the medications that you are taking. That’s right. It is actually possible that or more of the medications your doctor prescribes for you could be the cause (or at least one of the causes of) your tinnitus.

The connection between medications and ringing ears was certainly a surprise to me. The first I heard of it was when my nephew developed ringing ears from the drugs he took during chemotherapy for bone cancer. The doctors were able to completely eliminate the cancer, but part of the price he paid for his cure was long-term, likely permanent ringing ears.

To help you figure out if your medications might be causing your tinnitus, let me give you a list of the types of medications that can cause tinnitus. According to the Mayo Clinic, here are the types of drugs known to sometimes cause tinnitus or worsen existing cases of ringing ears:

Antibiotics: Several antibiotics can cause problems, including chloramphenicol, erythromycin, tetracycline, vancomycin and bleomycin

Cancer medications: Some of these powerful medicines that can cause ringing ears include mechlorethamine and vincristine

Diuretics: Bumetanide, ethacrynic acid, and furosemide

Quinine medications and others (such as chloroquine) used to treat malaria

Aspirin: When taken in extremely high doses (12 or more per day)

If you have tinnitus and are being treated with any one of these medications, you need to discuss the situation with your doctors. They may be able to change the way they are treating you and provide you with tinnitus relief at the same time.

What could be a more natural cure for tinnitus than stopping using a medication that cause your tinnitus as a side effect?

Antidepressants are sometimes given to patients seeking tinnitus relief. There have been some studies that show antidepressants can reduce tinnitus symptoms or help people better tolerate their ringing ears. Unfortunately, the kind of tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) used in these studies can have dangerous side effects. In this article, we’ll talk about the risks inherent in using TCAs in the medical treatment of tinnitus and discuss a more holistic and natural approach to a tinnitus cure instead.

In a systematic review of the research on treating tinnitus symptoms with antidepressants, half of the studies showed at least some benefits from the use of antidepressants. However, TCAs like those used in the studies are known to have several potential negative side effects. They include dry mouth, blurred vision, and constipation.

In addition, antidepressants like these are typically only prescribed for a period of weeks, since there is some risk of addiction. That means even when TCAs do help, they are usually only a temporary treatment for tinnitus.

Scarier still is the fact that all kinds of antidepressants can sometimes cause people, particularly those under the age of 18, to consider harming themselves or even of committing suicide.

So while tricyclic antidepressants have a place in the medical treatment of tinnitus, surely it is sensible to look for more natural alternatives to these powerful chemicals. A safe natural cure for tinnitus would be ideal. Such a cure would need to be at least as effective as TCAs, without the risk of major side effects. It would also need to be something without time limits on its use, providing a long-term cure for tinnitus, not the short-term relief of TCAs.

We’ve seen that there is some scientific evidence that tricyclic antidepressants can provide at least short-term tinnitus relief. We’ve also seen that TCAs bring the risk of potentially troublesome side effects, including some rather serious ones. Fortunately, there are other ways to treat this problem, including at least one all natural cure for tinnitus.

For many people, hearing loss is a problem that can limit their social interaction and other parts of their life. A large number of people in the country suffer from hearing loss and some are even born with it each year. Many cases of hearing loss occur because of carelessness or because of a lifestyle in which loud noises are an everyday occurrence. Since hearing is such an important sense, there are many things you can do prevent suffering from loss of hearing.

There are three common types of hearing loss, according to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) web site. The first is called conductive hearing loss, where muffled or faint sounds can’t be heard because of a blockage in the outer ear canal. This can occur from wax build-up or even damage to the small bones inside the middle ear. Conductive hearing loss can usually be corrected with surgery. Sensorineural hearing loss occurs when damage is done to the cochlea within the inner ear or to the nerve endings leading to the brain. This type of damage can occur because of an illness, disease, injury, or even medications. This type of hearing loss can’t be corrected with a surgical procedure. A mixed loss of hearing occurs when there is damage to both the inner and outer ear.

The ASHA lists several causes for hearing loss in adults. Disease and infection can lead to a loss of hearing, as well as certain medications and traumas to the head region. People commonly associate sudden hearing loss with exposure to loud noises at work or from listening to music, but this is not always the case. Meniere’s disease involves the membrane of the inner ear, and characterized by a ringing in the ear, deafness, or vertigo. Otosclerosis is a disease that affects the middle part of the ear and disrupts the movement of a tiny bone, called a stapes. Sudden hearing loss can occur when you are exposed to some sort of trauma, such as a ruptured eardrum or even a sudden change in air pressure. Noise levels can also lead to a loss of hearing if you are exposed to high levels over a prolonged time.

Hearing loss in children is a little different, mainly because the victims are a lot younger with less time to do damage to their hearing. Otis media, an inflammation of the middle ear from fluid build-up, occurs more commonly in infants and young children. Hearing loss in children from otis media is a temporary condition, and hearing returns once the fluid is gone. Congenital hearing loss in children occurs at birth, and the ASHA’s web site reports that research has shown more than fifty percent of these cases are genetic. Other reasons for congenital hearing loss in children are from premature birth, maternal diabetes, or toxemia during the pregnancy.

Even though many people suffer from hearing loss, there are ways to avoid it. The first step is to visit a hearing professional, such as an audiologist, for diagnosis. Whether a case of sudden loss of hearing has happened or there has been a gradual decline in hearing over a long period of time, an audiologist can suggest hearing aids or other remedies to help you deal with the problem. Even children who suffer from hearing loss can benefit from these instruments. Be sure to take care of your hearing before it’s too late.
